Hydration

1, hydration principle: hydration is by adding water to heat phospholipids, proteins, mucus and other impurities in oil and separate. The phospholipids will be expanded after absorbing water, making volume increases, and, the relative density of the protein, mucus and other impurities that is combined with phospholipids increases and sink precipitated.

2, hydration equipment and  process operations: hydration equipment is mainly hydration tank  and Water  removal  tank. Both structures are similar, both with a cylindrical conical bottom of the tank. Upper part of water injection tube and oil injection tube, intermediate with a stirring blade. There is head shaking pipe inside tank, and the bottom has outlet to release impurities.

Bleaching:

It adopts the way of bleaching earth and activated carbon for corn oil bleaching, the bleaching effect is better than individual bleaching earth. After the second activated carbon bleaching, the residual smell fades of bleaching earth in bleaching process becomes less.  Besides, Use a combination of both, which can save money.


Deodorizing process:

Deodorization principle: The vacuum deodorizer is commonly used type now, it means making steam through the corn germ oil, then remove the low boiling point impurities of oil(such as aldehydes, ketones and free fatty acids, etc.) and solvent smell of leaching by vacuum pump. Since the extracted gas contains water vapor, so even after the gas-liquid separator, atmospheric condenser separates the water droplets, making air and non-condensable gas discharged, so as to achieve the purpose of removing the peculiar odor.

    Before deodorizing take hydration or alkali refining process, it is better to remove the gum and impurities in oil, a deodorizer to and create favorable conditions for the next step of deodorization process, conducive to remove residual solvent and other odor.
